Janicki to Invest $800 Million in New Montana Factory, Creating Over 1,000 Jobs

Janicki Industries announced plans for an $800 million manufacturing campus in Great Falls, Montana, expected to create more than 1,000 jobs in the first five years and over 2,000 jobs once fully completed.

Janicki Industries, a Washington-based advanced tool and parts manufacturer, has unveiled plans to build an $800 million manufacturing facility in Great Falls, Montana. The company expects the new campus will create approximately 1,000 jobs within the first five years of operation, eventually supporting more than 2,000 employees once construction is fully completed. Construction is slated to begin in July 2026, with the first phase of the facility anticipated to open by the end of 2027.

The campus will cover 2 million square feet on a 180-acre site within Great Falls’ AgriTech Park, marking a significant expansion for Janicki beyond its existing operations in Washington and Utah. The company’s decision to build in Montana is part of a strategic, multi-state growth plan designed to meet increasing customer demand while providing economic opportunities in new communities.

Local and state officials have welcomed Janicki’s announcement as one of the largest economic development wins in recent years for Great Falls, a city that has seen slower growth compared to other Montana urban areas. The facility is expected to boost the local tax base and support broader regional economic development.

The city and county have approved a 50% property tax break for Janicki over five years to facilitate the project, with phased incentives tied to each stage of campus construction.

Janicki currently employs over 2,000 people at more than one million square feet of facilities primarily across Washington and Utah. This expansion into Montana represents a substantial growth of the company’s production capacity and workforce footprint, reinforcing Janicki’s position as a key player in advanced manufacturing.

Overall, Janicki’s new Montana campus underscores ongoing shifts in manufacturing investment, with companies seeking business environments that support growth and workforce development. The expected influx of jobs and economic activity could have a notable impact on the Great Falls community and the region’s manufacturing sector.
