GE Vernova, a leading energy equipment company, announced a $166 million investment to expand its operations in Western Pennsylvania, aiming to boost manufacturing capacity for grid-essential equipment. The expansion covers sites in Findlay Township, Allegheny County, and Rostraver Township, Westmoreland County.
With support from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, which is contributing $6 million to the project, GE Vernova plans to create approximately 714 new jobs over the next four years while retaining 735 existing positions. This significant workforce expansion underscores the growing demand for critical electrical infrastructure components such as transformers.
