The U.S. Department of Defense has awarded Boeing a substantial contract valued at up to $131.23 billion to support the F-15 Eagle fleet’s production, system integration, upgrades, sustainment, and depot maintenance. This indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity (IDIQ) contract signifies one of the largest commitments to the iconic fighter jet’s longevity, providing support through August 2037.
The program, known as the F-15 Eagle Crest, encompasses the manufacturing of new aircraft, modernization of existing fleets, and comprehensive maintenance services to ensure the F-15 remains operational and competitive well into the next decade. The work will primarily take place at Boeing’s facilities in St. Louis, Missouri.
This contract reflects ongoing demand from the U.S. military and allied nations for the F-15 platform, known for its proven performance as a versatile air superiority fighter. It also underlines Boeing’s role as a critical partner in sustaining and advancing one of the U.S. Air Force’s key fighter aircraft.
Separately, Boeing has also received contracts to upgrade international F-15 variants, such as the $2.8 billion deal to modernize South Korea’s F-15K fleet by 2037. These efforts collectively contribute to bolstering allied air forces and strengthening global partnerships in aerospace defense.
