Stardust Power Inc., an American developer of battery-grade lithium carbonate, has signed a non-binding Letter of Intent (LOI) with Charge CCCV LLC (C4V), a U.S.-based battery manufacturer, to supply lithium carbonate from Stardust Power’s planned refinery in Muskogee, Oklahoma.
Under the agreement, Charge CCCV has provided a preliminary demand forecast for potential offtake of 3,000 metric tons of battery-grade lithium carbonate in 2028, increasing to 10,000 metric tons in 2029, and reaching 20,000 metric tons by 2030. These volumes align with Charge CCCV’s anticipated expansion of battery manufacturing capacity over the coming years.
The companies will collaborate on product qualification and finalize technical and commercial terms, including supply volumes, pricing, and delivery schedules. The letter of intent is a significant step in securing a reliable domestic supply of lithium carbonate, a critical input for lithium-ion batteries used in electric vehicles and energy storage systems.
Stardust Powers planned Oklahoma refinery forms a key component of the broader U.S. strategy to build a secure, resilient battery materials supply chain. The company also has agreements with other strategic partners to source lithium feedstock and expand capacity.
This LOI highlights ongoing efforts by U.S. manufacturers to reduce reliance on foreign supply chains and strengthen domestic production of battery materials amid growing demand for electric vehicles and renewable energy solutions.
